American Night Writers Association (ANWA, pronounced "ann-wah") is a peer network for women members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS) world-wide who are interested in writing. LDS women writers, from beginners to published authors, are invited to join. Our purpose is to encourage, assist, educate, and motivate members to write, and, if they desire, to publish their works.
It's May but things are heating up here at ANWA headquarters in Arizona! The Southwest Writers Retreat is now open for registration! The retreat will be held from Thursday, June 23rd at 8 a.m. to Saturday, June 25th at 10 a.m. Once again it will be at the resort-like cabin, Stone Haven Lodge, nestled in the cool pines of Show Low, Arizona. The cost is a steal at $95.00. Nikki Wilson, the Southwest Regional Director, has secured Aprilynne Pike, as our keynote speaker and resident guest author. Surely, the odds will be in our favor as we run with this year's theme the Writer Games. Does the publishing world seem ruthless with the odds stacked against you? Are you prepared to pitch at the 2016 ANWA Time Our for Writers Conference. Does your WIP need some work, extra critiques or fine tuning. Then, come to Southwest Writers Retreat and put the odds in your favor so you can be prepared for September's conference.
Speaking of which, REGISTRATION is now open for the 2016 ANWA Time Out for Writers Conference. Don't miss out on Jeff Savage's Intensives Class on Thursday afternoon, or his Keynote on Saturday. Inspiring, down to earth and a wealth of knowledge, Jeff is an exciting feature of conference. Nan Marie and PJ Switzer will be running some fun contests with outta sight prizes so keep your eyes peeled and be ready to enter!
